Even though Acer has a good reputation, I have had my problems with an Acer Netbook. The motherboard died after about two months. I couldn’t believe at first that was it, even though all symptoms (Nothing at all worked, even basic boot up) said either motherboard a a totally dead power supply.
I took it to a laptop specialist who said that the motherboard problem was very common in that model of Acer. It was still under warranty, so, being Brazil, that meant it could not be repaired anywhere but São Paulo.
It only took three months to get it back and then it was returned with a reformatted hard drive and Win XP instead of Win 7.
No more Acer products for me.
